Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated. – Confucius
Before my head splits in two (thanks to that White Russian daiquiri last night), I figured I better make my daily post. And no, I won’t be taking a picture of my spilled brains.
Today’s mystery “what is it?!?” picture is ready for you to guess. Perhaps Gail will be stumped today? Do you know?
What Is It?!?
What Was That?!? Yesterday’s Picture (Day 79)
It might have looked like fabric, but it wasn’t. Or a skin rash! Nor was it a close up of the skin of a cherry. It also wasn’t leather or a countertop. It wasn’t water on the skin of a peach. But then Gail guessed it, again! Yes, yesterday’s picture was of tile, with a splash of water.

sweet potato?
Not a sweet potato.
or….a brick?
And not a brick.
or… bark of some sort?
Not bark either!
stucco….plaster?
Close!
painted plaster?
Kind of. This is an ochre wash on the exterior of the historic Owen House in Savannah. The wash was applied when the house was built in 1819! Good guess, Gail!
Ha! Still looks like a sweet potato tho.
cork?
Not cork.
A red steping stone with the top part peeling off?
Not a stepping stone!
HEAR I SAY…Rust!.
Not rust!
Is it oxidized steel?
Not oxidized steel either.
planter pot
Nope! But see my reply to your last guess.
Terracotta
Not terra cotta.
A peat or moss container/pot with the color tweaked?
Not that either! Don’t read any of the other comments if you still want to try and guess.
Carpet padding.
Not carpet padding.
