Day 58 – Hanging By a Thread

When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on. –Β Thomas Jefferson

Oh, my muse, where in the heck are you hiding? Suddenly the stream of creativity has stopped flowing, the barricades are up and impassable, my muse must have escaped down the road without me. Boo, hiss.

Sometimes life just gets in the way. Chaos! Clutter! Child sick!

Today’s mystery “what is it?!?” picture was a lark. I had already captured several images when I suddenly thought, “how about this?” It’s one of my all-time favorite go-to items. Can you tell? Do you know?

What Is It?!

What Was That?!? Yesterday’s Picture (Day 57)

Yesterday’s picture was one I took over the weekend when my family took a little sojourn to Walt Disney World. It wasn’t a kaleidoscope, not a doped-up on steroids Rubik’s cube, drawing, or multi-sided cube. πŸ™‚ If I say the word “Epcot,” do you know what it is now?

I was inspired by the shapes, geometry, and symmetry of this very large Epcot Spaceship Earth. My son thinks the structure looks like a super-size golf ball. I can attest that the ride inside is well worth the wait. How else would I have had time to take this photograph?

P.S. A special tip-of-the-hat to my hubby for keeping his lips sealed and not giving away the answer. He would have been in Trouble, yes, with a capital T!

  1. DARN!!!! In all honesty on yesterday’s post I started to say a roof structure but I didn’t feel it was an adequate description so I said the little funny about Rubik’s cube on steroids. πŸ™‚

  2. I would say that the right and left side is showing major DOF at such a short distance from the focal point it must be some what rounded down or curved upward. Up or down is now the question. I say downward so it must be a fried chicken leg.

  3. Let’s see, there are 2 legs, 2 thighs, 2 wings, one breast if not split, 1 heart, 1 gizzard, 1 liver and 2 back portions (upper and lower…there we go with upper and downer (lower) again). May I have a wing?

        1. The inside of nutmeg. This is my all-time favorite spice! And there’s nothing better than freshly-grated nutmeg. Like I said, it’s my go-to item. Mashed potatoes, cookies, pies, cakes, casseroles, you name it, if I make it, it’s probably got nutmeg. So see, you were close in a way … πŸ˜‰
