Day 137 – Small Things

Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies. – Mother Teresa

I suppose this quote speaks to me since I’m one of those “smaller” folks you’ll meet in life. If I wear high heels (and that’s a very rare occasion, gave those up when I stopped working in the Florida Governor’s Office over 13 years ago), I almost hit 5 feet tall. Yes, I’m short, yes, I’m small. But my perspective is great things come in small packages, and that extends into my photography life. We tend to overlook some of these small things in life, simply because they’re not at our eye level, or they’re at our feet.

Today’s mystery “what is it?!?” picture is something I discovered that I had never seen before, at least not from this perspective. Do you know? Can you tell?

What Is It?!?

What Was That?!? Yesterday’s Picture (Day 136)

It looked like a strawberry or a piece of fruit, indeed. But it wasn’t. The final guess was a stamen of a flower. Oh so close! It’s not a stamen, but it is part of a flower. But which flower?

What you saw was the stem of a Magnolia flower (the bottom part). What a funky thing, eh?

    1. Funny how this blog tends to gravitate towards food, both from my perspective and most everyone else, too! LOL
Anyway, it’s not chips, but I think they look like those potato sticks (maybe we’re thinking the same thing). 🙂 Question for you: Did you see my comment on your blog on how to create a gallery?
