Day 155 – Speaking of Catnaps …

Flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss. – Douglas Adams

The best part of today was actually taking a 30-minute catnap, that’s one of the things I adore about vacations, even if it’s just two days off from work. Trust me, I’m not relishing the fact that tomorrow it’s back to documenting registry keys. Ugh. But in the meantime, it’s all about having fun and going through my 700+ pictures. I love getting to relive the vacation!

Here is your daily mystery “what is it?!?” picture. I was inspired by paying attention to my surroundings. Do you know? Can you tell?

What Is It?!?

What Was That?!? Yesterday’s Picture (Day 154)

Yes, it did look like something ceramic, and in fact it is used as a decorative item, but it’s not ceramic. Have you ever been to the 50’s Prime Time Diner at Hollywood Studios? The decorations are all from the 1950’s, including the Formica tables, old-timey televisions with NO REMOTES (yes, knobs that you have to turn!), and copper molds. You know, the kind used to make those jello salads, all decorative and pretty to hang. That’s what you saw, one of those copper molds. Oh, and let me not forget to mention our hilarious waitress, Patty, who told us “no elbows on the table and put away those walkie talkies!” Great meal, great fun.
