Day 169 – Read Cover to Cover

The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page. – Saint Augustine

I had written something earlier to use in my post today, but after hearing about a childhood classmate and friend passing away, today’s message to me is strong: Live each day like there’s no promise of tomorrow. Don’t put off travels, journeys, and learning. Life is too short. Indeed a sad day. 😦

Today’s mystery “what is it?!?” picture is below. Do you know? Can you tell?

What Is It?!?

What Was That?!? Yesterday’s Picture (Day 168)

Girish thought yesterday’s picture looked like metal skewers. (Mmmmm, now I’m hungry for Shish Kebabs.) Anna guessed that it was a greyscale image of a section of banisters. And Gail guessed plastic worms for bait. LOL! It wasn’t metal skewers or bait (albeit plastic, I don’t even own a fishing pole … and now I can visualize my Grandpa Henry shaking his head …), and although it wasn’t banisters, it’s so, so close! So what did you see? A section of wooden spindles on the back of a red rocking chair.

    1. It’s not a broken open piece of bread. It’s these perspectives that keep me motivated to see this 365 day project to the end, so thank you for guessing! I revisited your blog and decided to stick around. Thanks for the follow, too!
      Guess again?

  1. In my world a young friend of ours gave birth a few days ago and the little bloke needed heart surgery. He is still in ICU and ‘coded’ twice yesterday……………… so I’m right there with you on the thought for the day.

      1. Yep, it is. The mum is one of those amazing people you come across every now and then. She nearly became our daughter in law but they were very young and it didn’t work out. She is such a cool person that we have kept in touch. This is her first child and if anyone can copy, she will but no one should have to find out if they have that kind of strength.
Thanks for the positive vibes,……..keep em coming.
