The old castles around the Irish countryside are simply fascinating to me. I love these old relics! (Three pictures)
The top castle sits on the Cliffs of Moher.

I suppose I should ‘do’ Ireland again (spent a few days there in October 2003) as the weather was so bad I didn’t take many decent photos. And the scenery and those castles are stunning.
Nicely done Schelley 🙂

Thank you! We went in late July and lucked out with the weather. Yes, it drizzled a lot, and lots of clouds, but sunshine, too! I’d go back and plan to one day. We’re hoping to go to Scotland and England next. 🙂

Scotland is on my list for the next holiday in the UK. I’m even thinking about spending Christmas up there! We like to go to different regions each year for a ‘staycation’ break.

Is that the Aran Islands beyond? I have a similar photo to the top one, but it was overcast when we went last July.
