Weekly Photo Challenge: Window

In the southern part of Arizona, there are several very old mission sites, with some of the pueblo buildings still standing. I was fascinated with the pane-less windows, just open to the world, mountains and vivid blue skies.

  1. Great shots. I love mission buildings (doing a series of posts about a few of the Californian ones soon) and I love windows too. I just adore that second shot 🙂

  2. Great shots. Great detail. i’ve lived in a desert and we didn’t have screens either, though we did have glass for the winter. I guess, thinking about it, it’s odd … but it seemed normal at the time.

    1. Just unthinkable in our area, the mosquitoes, gnats, and flies would eat us alive in the summer. Getting to visit a different area such as Arizona was so refreshing, even in 100 degree f weather, there’s no humidity, so a good amount cooler in the shade. There is no escaping the heat or humidity in Tallahassee!
