All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream. – Edgar Allan Poe
Wow. Week 19, I can barely keep up, here I am a day late with very little time left for this day. Such is my life. Actually, this seems to be the norm now. Always busy, never enough time. Must make time to dream. So anyway, for the nineteenth time this year, I challenge you to tell me what this is. Do you know? Can you tell?
What Is It?!?
What Was That?!? – Week 18/52 (Last Week’s Picture)
Fabio started off with, “Let me try again… maybe the seat of a chair? I know I am not good…” Alas, not the seat of a chair, but remember, this isn’t about winning, it’s about sharing your perspective! Brenda guessed, “placemat?” Not a placemat either. “Outdoor furniture?” Not outdoor furniture. But you can use it outdoors. “Athletic gear?” Not athletic gear. Jude mused, “Fabric?” Not fabric. “Leather?” Not leather. “Mmm… I like the light on this object so maybe it is something hard, like china or stone?” Not anything hard, this is flexible. “A plastic chair?” Not a plastic chair. “This is going to be some American thing that we don’t have over here isn’t it! Is it some sort of waterproof covering that you throw over furniture?” Actually, ding ding ding! You got it, indeed waterproof covering, in this case, a tarp. One thing I really like about having this blog is learning how some things are so different “across the pond.” I am always enlightened. In the meantime, Sarah guessed, “Is it a hat? Woven from straw or something similar?” Not a hat and not straw. “Ah, Jude got it! I never would have got that!!” I also love the interaction. Well done, folks! That was a great round of playing the weekly “what is it?!?” guessing game!

It’s okay to like broccoli. 😉
It’s one of the few vegetables my son will eat. That’s what inspired me to take the picture, we were eating dinner and talking about how the broccoli looks like little trees. chomp chomp mmmmmmmmm

They do say that encouraging young children to play with their food, like imagining broccoli to be trees, is the best way to get them to eat lots of different things!
