Early Bird (Weekly Photo Challenge)

20091027_7092

Back in 2009, we ventured to Kennedy Space Center in Titusville, Florida, to watch the first-ever (and only) launch of the Ares 1 rocket. Our mandatory arrival time was 5:00 a.m., which was way early; however, Mother Nature performed some beautiful sky art in the wee early morning hours over the rocket garden.

  1. Wonderful sky, and photo! ‘Rocket garden’ – adventurous Schelley came up with a new English expression, at least for me πŸ™‚ She raises the bar in regard to rockets blast-offs, English, Nature, and Photography. Bravo, my friend Schelley! πŸ™‚

    1. I have to give credit to KSC for coming up with the name “rocket garden,” but I’m certain I would have come up with something snazzy like that, too! HA! πŸ™‚ So glad you enjoyed this photo. I was amazed seeing the vast difference in my photo skills between 2009 and now, but at least I had this one “cool” shot of the sunrise. And several awesome shots of the rocket in air! BOOM! Thank you, my friend. πŸ™‚

      1. Yes, we have but we didn’t have time to see that exhibit. We usually go whenever we have guests from out of town. We definitely will be back to check it out. πŸ™‚
