The water in this fountain at the Spanish Governor’s Palace in San Antonio, Texas, has such an abstract look because of the reflections and fluidity in the water.

This week’s word, as picked by Sue, is “round.” After sorting through my photographs, I located this image of the Tybee Island’s lighthouse’s light, which is indeed quite round.

This arched window provides a natural frame of one of the buildings on The San José de Tumacácori Mission, the oldest mission in Arizona (established in 1691). I’m very blessed to have been able to see this in person, and this is one of my favorite photographs from that journey.

I have always been drawn to the Celtic spiral figure, particularly the beautifully engraved spiral on this very, very old grave headstone in Dublin, Ireland. The spiral figure has also found its way into most of my artwork, my favorite is creating spiral Oak trees, such as the one below.

Undulate: to move with a sinuous or wavelike motion; display a smooth rising-and-falling or side-to-side alternation of movement. In this case, a jellyfish provides a visual definition of undulate. 🙂

This week, Sue’s hand landed on the word “yellow” in the dictionary. To me, yellow is the most vibrant color in Mother Nature’s spectrum, and appear in so many shades and hues, such as the flowers in these photographs.
