Off of Highway 98 approaching Eastpoint, Florida, sits this old, rusty boat. The rubble you see to the left is part of Highway 98 that has been destroyed by many a hurricane. This section of highway gets closer and closer to the water with each hurricane that blows through.

Sue’s A Word a Week Photo Challenge this week is Tropical. For now, these pictures will have to transport me back to the tropics (until I make it back in person). To see other entries, go to http://suellewellyn2011.wordpress.com/2013/06/25/a-word-a-week-challenge-tr0pical/.
My family and I toured the Waterford Crystal headquarters/factory while in Ireland a few years ago, and I was simply amazed at the steps and work involved in creating these works of art. Part of the tour was watching the workers in each step of the process. There are numerous steps before the crystal even reaches the engravers. Each design uses very intricate patterns and each engraver knows every single pattern, each step, by memory! These are truly master craftsmen!

I am blessed with a niece that possesses pure, raw talent as a dancer. I love to capture her graceful spirit in photographs. These are some of my favorite images of Emma, the Dancer.

When I think of the word, “industrial,” these images I captured from a recent trip to the Mag Lab in Tallahassee, Florida, are what come to my mind.
