Today’s mystery “what is it?!?” picture is ready for your guessing pleasure. Can you tell? Do you know?
Heather started off with, “hhhhmmm, my first thought was a pomegranate…”, which Jude also guessed, but it’s not a pomegranate. Mik said, “I will guess: Indian corn…for the upcoming holidays?” But it’s not Indian corn either. So what was it?
What was saw was part of a Magnolia tree blossom, which seems to transform through many stages, this being the last, where these red pods appear. As a matter of fact, I’ve used photographs of my Magnolia tree blossoms several times here, but each picture was of a different stage. Wow, what an unusual, beautiful part of nature.
