Gaze Into My Crystal Ball

IMG_1420a

One night I was compelled to take my multi-colored LED base light, plopped my crystal ball and its crystal stand on top, and started taking photographs. I loved every minute, especially when I downloaded the images and saw the results on the computer. WOW! I love this particular image because it is so colorful with so many angles. Gaze into my crystal ball, what do you see?

Look for more of these images soon!

Cracks in My Soul

IMG_5856

I suppose the holes in my heart make room for the light. Cracks in my soul let the light in, sparkles in me.

Stillness

IMG_4984

There’s a sliver of space between day and night, between the dark and the light. Stillness.

I truly love capturing wispy images, such as this grass. Adore the abstract look!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Twinkle

2014_07_18_9999_3152014_07_18_9999_320

(Two images) Our last night in Costa Rica, we stayed way up in the mountains, and we feasted at this restaurant overlooking the twinkling lights of San Jose. The top image, although technically out of focus, was my attempt to create an “artsy fartsy” shot of the lights, which looks like twinkling bokeh to me. The bottom image shows the twinkle of the city. Pura Vida!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Converge

2014_03_17_9999_110

This building in San Antonio, Texas, looks like an optical illusion when viewed directly in front, the building seems to converge with the sky. But it’s just a facade – the photograph below shows the true architecture.

Fly By

Fly By Flowers

After missing the UPS delivery yesterday – BOO! – I received my new toy today, the Canon 70-300mm IS L – YAY! – and let me say, the lens is a tank. Wow. This is one of the first photographs I took, and happened to notice this “fly by,” and this particular fly was willing to pose. Me thinks I’ll be using my monopod with the tank of this lens! … and I’ll definitely be building upper body strength using it – it’s heavy! LOL I love it! 🙂

What Is It?!? – Week 23/52

A hunch is creativity trying to tell you something. – Frank Capra

For the 23rd weekly “what is it?!?” mystery picture, I reached into my archive bag and pulled up this image. I have not posted this mystery subject before. Can you tell? Do you know?

What Is It?!? Week 23/52

Week 23

What Was That?!? – Last Week’s Picture (Week 22/52)

That Montreal Girl was “stumped again.” Tracey thought, “It looks like glass. A desert dish, or vase?” Not glass. But I can see that. “Crystal knob?” It’s a knob but not crystal. Ding! “Plastic?” Ding ding ding! A plastic knob. “I shall feel very proud I guessed it right….believe me, these are very hard. I doubt I’ll ever get another one right.” You should indeed pat yourself on the back! But you’d be surprised at how many guess more than one. So keep playing! “I will definitely try.” Preeti thought, “Doorknob?” It’s a knob, but not from a door. Ding! “from a chest of drawers?” Not from a chest of drawers. Sarah thought, “Plastic salt cellar?” Not a cellar, but it is plastic! Ding! “So it’s a plastic doorknob!” Well, it’s a plastic knob, just not on a door. So you get a ding ding ding! “You really should do a door bell one of these weeks for even more Ding Dings” What a fantastic idea!

Remember, it’s not about winning, it’s about sharing your perspective!

So what you saw was a plastic faucet knob. One afternoon the light just happened to catch my eye and the rest is history. 😀
