A Word a Week Challenge: Mistake
What’s the “mistake” in this photograph? Intentionally done on purpose, I do like the results. So I prefer to call it a “happy accident!”

Water Reflections: A Black-and-White Perspective
Water Reflections
Yay! Because we’ve been deluged with rainfall for months now (we have had a liquid summer for sure), our dried-up lakes, creeks, and ponds have started filling up again, including my favorite spot at the Tallahassee Museum. See, there’s that silver lining in the cloud. Plus, the storms make for dramatic lighting in the sky. 😉
Cypress Water Reflections
This is one of my photographs I donated to Big Bend Cares’ Artopia 2013 event (silent and live charity auctions, to raise money for HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention, education, etc.); this was my seventh year as a participating artist. This is my all-time most favorite photograph (and it always generates good money for a great cause)! I captured this image at the Tallahassee Museum several years ago, when Lake Bradford was full of water; sadly, we’ve had quite a drought period and a good portion of the Museum’s water is dried up.
