One night I was compelled to take my multi-colored LED base light, plopped my crystal ball and its crystal stand on top, and started taking photographs. I loved every minute, especially when I downloaded the images and saw the results on the computer. WOW! I love this particular image because it is so colorful with so many angles. Gaze into my crystal ball, what do you see?
Look for more of these images soon!
I love how flowers look just before they’re about to burst open and fan their petals. 🙂

Oh, sweet stamens, on your pretty purple flowers, a raindrop ready to release, I do believe I’m in love with nature.
And my Zeiss lens. 🙂

For years I have lusted the Zeiss lenses, and never thought I’d be able to purchase, until the universe somehow hooked me up with a great deal. I am now the third owner of the Zeiss Makro Planer 50mm 2.0f lens, and this glass is simply amazing. The bokeh is so smooth and soft! Even a poison ivy vine is beautiful, eh?
A somewhat funky perspective of a flower unfurling its petals. 🙂

Delicate, fragile flower, such a tiny thing reaching for the sky. The power of life is held in everything, big or small.

When the dark rain stops, the light is even more beautiful than ever before.Â
Posted in honor of an enormously talented musical genius and humanitarian, and a very special light maker; may Prince’s light continue to shine through all the others that carry the light. They’re the beautiful ones.
Even when they don’t know it.
P.S. Did you know that Prince wrote many hit songs for other performers? I can’t help but sing “Just another Macro Monday” in place of “Just another manic Monday,” each time I make one of these posts. I didn’t realize he wrote this song for the Bangles.

Several weeks ago I discovered the “Honeysuckle Tree,” a native tree that grows wild around Havana, Florida, and is a member of the azalea family. (Yes, those stamens sure do look like azaleas, don’t they?!?) While I was snapping photos of this beautiful, unusual tree, a bee flew in, buzzing about, seeming quite excited about dinnertime.
“Mmmmm, tasty treats,” says the Bee.
