You know you’re in the South (United States) when there are canopies of old Oak trees. A favorite spot and favorite trees!

One of the many reasons I love living in the South: Magnolia trees and grand old Oak trees with Spanish moss!

Day 24 – Rockin’ on the Front Porch Drinkin’ Sweet Iced Tea

One cannot reflect in streaming water. Only those who know internal peace can give it to others. – Lao Tzu

When you change your focus, you change your perception. Previously hidden details are exposed. Take an item out of context and suddenly it looks like something else. Sometimes I post a mystery “what is it?!?” picture thinking “it’s too easy, they’ll know exactly what this is!” and that’s not what happens. There are a thousand different view points in any one image! Different folks see different images.

Twenty-four days into this project, I see that my perception challenge has spread … my husband has created his own mystery pictures and just today a friend posted a picture challenging me to guess “what is it?!?” They, too, have started seeing things differently. Yay!

Today’s mystery “what is it?!?” picture beckons you to take a wild guess.

What Is It?!?

What Was That?!? Yesterday’s Picture

If you’re from the South (in the United States) you know what goes perfectly with sitting on a rocking chair on a porch. Sweet iced tea! Yesterday’s photograph was an ice cube in my sweet iced tea.

But yesterday’s picture stumped my friends; here are their guesses: skin, leaf, corn on the cob, BBQ chicken, blood orange, finished piece of wood, wet red clay, a roast, shell, a scar with neosporin ointment (ha ha!), wax, the planet Mars, and the pink skin or a red Salmon.

Amazing how an ice cube changed into all of these different things! 😉
