A piece of a stained glass window that belonged to my mom shows what yellow means to me: a vibrant color representing strength and light, which negateĀ all the drab grey colors of life, death, and grief. My mom was such a vibrant and strong woman, yellow is herĀ soul. Shine on, mama.

This week, Sue’s hand landed on the word “yellow” in the dictionary. To me, yellow is the most vibrant color in Mother Nature’s spectrum, and appear in so many shades and hues, such as the flowers in these photographs.
