Greetings from San Antonio, Texas! Ian and I are enjoying spring break with my brother’s family (except for poor hubby, who has to work!), but you’re still getting your weekly mystery picture fix. 😉
So here is you’re 11th weekly “what is it?!?” mystery picture, ready for your guessing pleasure. Can you tell? Do you know?
What Is It?!?
What Was That?!? (Last Week’s Picture) – Week 10/52
For the last two “what is it?!?” mystery picture posts, I’ve noticed something. When a mystery subject was guessed here on WordPress, my Facebook players just couldn’t identify what it was; but then the reverse happened this past week. The Facebook link was guessed immediately, but not the case here on WordPress. Anyway, without further ado, let’s go over what was guessed!
Jude asked, “Is this the real colour Schelley?” Yes, it is. I sure was tempted to convert to black and white, but liked the color image better. Sarah asked, “Is this a metal nail or pin?” Well, it is metal, but not a nail or pin. “Hmmmmn, a part of an ornament?” Not part of an ornament. “Do you hang something over it?” Well, you could, but it’s not made intentionally for that. Jude came back and guessed, “Is it a railing? Like on a fence?” That would be a ding ding ding! Yes, indeed, it is part of a fence.
So if you were wondering what a macro picture of a fence looks like, your wish was granted! LOL! 😀
I have no bloody clue.

looks like the flip side of CDs or DVDs … which they’re probably not 🙂

I don’t know, I can see how you think that. The colour and the reflections. Maybe they are hanging up somewhere, like a wind chime?

very possibly! 🙂

Not hanging. I’ll give y’all a clue: this is inside.

Not the flip side of CD or DVD, but great perspective! 😉

Here is my guess: it is the edge of a cymbal on your son’s drum set.

The way the metal is worked it could well be a cymbal! If not, then possibly knives or other cutlery in the kitchen?

Not a wine cooler. (Sorry it took so long to respond, was traveling back home.) 🙂

If it is not a cymbal, maybe it is part of a light fixture or lamp.

And that would be a Ding Ding Ding! Wow.
This is part of a glass lamp that was in our room at the Embassy Suites Riverwalk in San Antonio. Great guess, Mic. 😀

Glass!!? I think you had us all fooled on that one…it looks metallic. I have to admit that my guess on this one came out of left field somewhere…not my first impression. 🙂
This was a good one Schelley!!

So glad you liked it! When I saw this lamp, I knew immediately that it would make a great mystery picture. Very sharp lines with a metallic part in the middle (which concealed the cord). So that’s where the metallic look came from. 😀
