The beautiful, gigantic whale shark swims in the background, just in time to pass by Mrs. Julie and the boys in her 5th grade class at the Georgia Aquarium’s overnight program. The aquarium has asked me to post this photo on their Facebook page, they love it! Yay!

Thank you! Our tour guide mentioned that this whale doesn’t normally pass so close in the morning (this was before the aquarium opened to regular guests). We were so lucky to be at the right place at the right time. 😀

Great, great picture. The perfect exclamation point to the picture is the kids’ upraised hands.

I saw it was the Georgia Aquarium. Makes me want to pay a visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, about an hour south of where I live.

Love, love, love the whale sharks. Had the opportunity to dive with them at the Georgia Aquarium in March.

Wow, what an experience that must have been! We all loved the whale sharks. How long did you get to swim with them?

What a smashing photograph, Schelley, and one those children will cherish – I assume they have each begged for a copy?
I would!

Thank you so much! I’m the class photographer so all of the kids/parents have a copy. This is one of my all-time favorite photographs because it conveys such excitement! (Not to mention the great background of that whale shark.) 🙂

It’s one of those once in a lifetime shots. I hope you blew it up and framed it? Anyone would be proud to put that on their wall.
I am busy perusing your site.It is well presented and the pics are all pretty good! I don’t comment on every post, forgive me. I look out for shots that are truly unusual and original. This one is something special.

Wow, that’s really nice of you to say. I haven’t blown it up and framed the picture yet, but will soon, to hang in Ian’s room. Thank you for your feedback about my site and photography! That really means a lot to me, I’ve got a super-sized smile on my face now. 😀

That’s magnificent! 😀 I love how you’ve captured the line of 10 people in comparison to the length of the massive whale.
