I’m an idealist. I don’t know where I’m going, but I’m on my way. – Carl Sandburg
What’s so fascinating about the creative process is never knowing where you’re headed or what the final destination will be … just all of a sudden the muse has taken over and you’re along for the ride. I love it!
Today’s mystery “what is it?!?” picture is quite abstract. Considering that I could not figure out what I wanted to photograph today, I’m pleased I ended up with anything. Muse has gone out and deserted me.
What Is It?!?
What Was That?!? Yesterday’s Picture (Day 177)
Yesterday’s picture generated some funny perspectives again. For example, the first guess: “I think I saw that in the back of my fridge. I coulda sworn I threw it out.” Rest assured, it’s not a science experiment! Is it the sole of a shoe? Not the sole of a shoe. A foam roller? Not that either. “Is it a zoomed in chunk of the rusted green roof from yesterday?” Ha ha, not it’s not a zoomed in chunk of that rusted roof! Is it a sugar cookie? Not a sugar cookie.
So what was it? What you saw was a different perspective of a subject I posted a few days ago. Remember that decorative hanging strand of glass circles? (Day 174) This was a different-colored circle, a blue one. I thought it was interesting the entirely different pattern, one you wouldn’t see without zooming in.
Almost looks like a dental impression.
And about that creative process: that is so exciting about street photography. You never know what and who you’re going to see and meet. And when you see something “shoot worthy” you have to make a very quick and (hopefully) creative decission on how to shoot it.

Interesting! (No, not a dental impression.) I understand what you mean about the street photography, how exciting! I have enjoyed seeing your street shots, and I love the black-and-white perspective. So your creative process is indeed working. 🙂
